Technical Recession?

Early StatCan data shows Canada may have just entered a technical recession.

The official data comes out November 30th, when these figures could be revised upwards. This would keep us out of a technical recession if it happens. Right now GDP growth is tracking negatively for Q2 and Q3.

Rate hikes seem to be working to slow the economy. It feels like we have been waiting for this impending recession for over 2 years now.

Another sign we are likely closer to the end of one of the most dramatic rate hiking cycles in history.
